You may also be able to find other records relating to your ancestor in this country: once they were here, they would have become part of our system of record keeping.

Most Huguenots were poor, and unlikely to have left wills, although it is worth checking online at the National Archives website, but you may stumble across them or their descendents in local street or trade directories, Poor Law records or records or naturalisation.
