Anglo-Indian – Background reading

Once you have established which members of your family were doing what, and where, you can find out more about their lives.

Flesh out what you do know by reading histories of British India specific to the time and place in which your ancestors lived.

There are plenty of relevant books available – search online or visit your local bookshops. Frank Anthony’s The Story of the Anglo Indian Community (Simon Wallenberg Press, 2007), the first in the Anglo Indian Heritage series, is very informative.
