It's been away from primetime UK television for almost nine months, but Who Do You Think You Are? returns this week for a run of ten new episodes.

This year's series features a host of famous faces, including singer Annie Lennox, Doctor Who star Alex Kingston and comic actor Celia Imrie. First to embark on their genealogical journey, however, is former EastEnders star Samantha Womack, whose episode can be seen on Wednesday, 15 August at 9pm on BBC One.

As with all of the new episodes, we'll have full coverage of Samantha's emotional story, including exclusive behind-the-scenes footage that didn't make it to air and expert guides to how her discoveries could help you with your research. And there's plenty more to look forward to over the coming months, too. Here's a look ahead at the celebrities set to be featured in the first four episodes (please note that, as always, schedules are subject to change):

Wednesday 22 August Gregg Wallace
Wednesday 29 August Patrick Stewart
Wednesday 5 September Annie Lennox
Wednesday 12 September Hugh Dennis
