Hi everyone,
My husband is currently editing some memoirs for a friend. It consists of the story of how her father was held prisoner by the Russians during the second world war. He was a Lutheran Pastor. He kept a record of his time in the camps. The problem is he was moved to about five or six camps during his time in captivity, but he has not noted where in his manuscript,or the names of the camps. Is there any way of finding out which camps and where he was held?
Thank You
Grace :D

Hi Grace, please see the links below, which hopefully will help with your husband's research:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_W ... viet_Union

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_pr ... viet_Union

There is also an online thesis entitled "Tending the Enemy’s Flock: German Pastors and POWs in Britain, 1940-1955" by Augusta Dell’Omo -- but it's focus is on prisoners interred in Britain.
