Please can anybody help me get a handle on this family

Albert Ernest Waters also known as Ernest or Ted (born c1901 in Kent)was one of five brothers, the others being Herbert, Charles, Walter and one other
I think that their father was also named Albert Ernest Waters.

Herbert and Albert Ernest junior remained in England with Albert marrying Winifred J Brann in 1924, Folkestone.

Albert senior and the other three boys migrated to Canada on a £10 fare scheme as agricultural workers were needed in Canada after the war

Do you have Albert's father from his marriage certificate? Is there an occupation stated?
Albert E Waters m Winifred J Brann 1924, Sep, Elham, Kent 2a p2939
A quick search on GRO does not produce an Albert Ernest WATERS between 1899-1903 but there are a few for Albert/Albert Edward.

I have sent for the marriage certificate and am also wondering if I should be looking for middlename Edward with him being known as Ted

Probably worth waiting for marriage certificate. Waters is not that common in Kent but so far I've not found 4 WATERS siblings in same district on GRO.

Thank you

The 1939 register entry is the correct family.

The marriage certificate for Albert Ernest Waters and Winifred Brann has arrived. This names the father as Herbert Waters not Albert.

As the marriage is not long post war I am wondering if the family originated outside Kent

May I thank everybody that took the trouble to read this post.

I think that I have located the family in Tardebigge, Worcestershire in 1911
