Stories of Our Streets & Houses

Postby Victor Nutt » Fri Dec 13, 2013 4:48 pm

If you live anywhere near Bexleyheath, Kent and have some time to spare tomorrow (Saturday 14th December 2013), come along to St.Andrew's Church Hall, Brampton Road, Bexleyheath, DA7 5SF between 10am & 2pm. It is the launch of our book celebrating the completion of the "All Our Stories Project", a voyage of discovery into the history of our own house or street. All the authors will be on hand to explain their researches and findings. Some of the projects have been archeological in nature, whilst others have a more genealogical slant, but all show what can be discovered in a matter of a few months, researching at home and in your local Archive Centre.

The book is available for sale at a very reasonable price of just £5.00 and would make an ideal Christmas present for someone thinking of delving into their own house history and wanting some guidance on the what, how, when and where of this fascinating subject.

More information is available at http://www.bag.org.uk

Hope I see some of you there, you won't be disappointed.

Victor

PS - I can show how John Smith can be found easily, if he is important enough!
