2nd Division, early Sept 1916

Postby Libby » Mon Dec 02, 2013 2:46 pm

I am trying to find out what my great uncle, Royal Fus. 24th Bat. was doing when he was killed in action. His Div. the 2nd, was involved at Delville Wood but this finished on the 3rd Sept. Can anyone help with what he was doing and where he was, to get killed on 6th Sept? Also he is buried at Colincamps and I understand the dead were buried reasonably close to where they fell. Have you looked at the War Diaries at The National Archives, Kew?.
