I have tried searching for William John Smith born in 1922 on behalf of a friend

I have a list of the regiments he served in during WW2
C.S.C 12/02/42 - 10/08/42
Royal Fuss 11/08/42 - 06/09/43
London-Irish 07/09/43-30/04/45
Royal Fuss 01/05/45 - 18/01/46
A.C.C 19/01/46 - 13/09/47
His army no was 14200245 and final rank Corporal.

He was also possibly a POW

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you mean you are searching for a Service Record you won't find it as they are still with MOD. The next of kin , or someone with their permission , can send off for the record for a fee of £30.

You need to scroll right down the page to identify the correct forms.
