I am researching my maternal grandmother, without any luck, who was born Alma Beatrice Green who I believe may have been born in the London area. She married my grandfather John Thomas Jones in Luton in 1918 on her marriage certificate her father was Arthur William Green (manager). If you are researching the Green family do you have any of these people on your tree.

Here's hoping Susan :)

Just seen your message Susan. I'm afraid I don't have any of those Greens in my tree.

For your information, Green is the 21st most common surname in Britain, with 166,423 people sharing the name. (Source: http://surname.sofeminine.co.uk/w/surna ... green.html)

I'm not sure how reliable this information is. However, you're lucky Alma Beatrice was not called Mary Ann Green as you'd have even more difficulty tracing her.

What records do you have for Alma and her husband, to give people a bit more to go on when looking for them?

Hello there,

My husband's grandad's mum was called Florence Nellie Green and was based in Edmonton (Enfield), Middlesex. Do you have this name on your tree?

Thanks
