Talk by Sarah Williams (Editor)

Postby phsvm » Mon Mar 25, 2013 9:39 am

I recently heard Sarah Williams talk at the Oxford Literary Festival along with David Hey, Emeritus Professor of local and family history, from Sheffield University and Susan Skedd from English Heritage's blue Plaque scheme. The session was chaired by Laurence Goldman the editor of the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.

Although the session was only an hour long all the speakers were concise, amusing and very interesting.

If anyone gets the chance to hear any of these speakers at any time I would thoroughly recommend them.

Thanks phsvm, you should have come up to say hello to me. It would have been lovely to meet a forum user in the flesh! We only had 15 minutes each so I'm glad you got something out of it. I'm going to write up a blog about the talk for OUP's website and when it's up, I'll put a link to it here.
