BONA VACANTIA and PROFESSIONAL RESEARCHERS

Postby david » Sun May 27, 2012 8:51 am

Does anybody have experience of professional researchers please?

I've been contacted recently by ANGLIA RESEARCH who are suggesting (nothing more to date) that they may be able to put me in touch with a 'missing link'.. Having thoroughly researched the family tree, I'm unsure about responding - especially as they want a %age of the 'lost' estate and solicitors fees too. With around 500 names on the family tree and a fair degree of certainty about all strands of the family, I'm wondering if they're just on a 'fishing trip'... is it a 'spam' type approach?

Have you had any dealings with this firm? Do you recommend?

Very many thanks!

I've only just seen your post but noted that no one commented on it.

Having looked at their website Anglian seem like a stable, established firm. It would be interesting to know what you did about this. Did you ignore them or pursue it?
