Finding WW1 medals

Postby Libby » Fri Apr 20, 2012 5:47 pm

Has anyone found a good way of finding WW1 war medals, please? That is, apart from going thro' loads of sales sites on the web.

Do you mean medals belonging to a particular person? If so, then by the time Google picks them up, they may well be sold so, I'm afraid you just have to keep hunting.

Hi, I typed in google "Arthur Bramley (his army number) ww1 medals" and up they popped - somebody with a medal business was selling them !!

I brought them and they now sit proudly on my fathers wall in a case with his scroll and memorial off CWGC.

I guess I was just lucky with maybe a hint of fate as he died on Nov 5th while I was born on Nov 5th ??

Hope you find the ones your looking for somehow........
