Ads obscuring attachments

Postby ColinB » Mon Aug 08, 2011 10:19 am

I've just been replying to a post where the attachment is partially obscured by ads. In this
case I had to look up information because crucial references were covered up. I appreciate
the need for advertising , but does it have to be so intrusive ?

Hi
Couldn't agree more. There must be a way of placing the ads in a more unobtrusive way.

I've just been advised to right click and select ' view image' , but that option doesn't
come up for me. I can copy and paste the attachment into a blank document, I've
discovered ,- but I'd stll prefer it if the ads weren't in the way !

Hi
Following ColinB's latest posting I tried right clicking and found nothing appeared to work. Then by 'accidentally' double left clicking on the attachment it appeared to shrink and I was able to view it by scrolling.
I tried this in the 'Photos' section where it also appears to work.

Thanks for that , Brian ! I tried and it didn't work and then tried again and it did !
It's a good job we're all so keen , otherwise we might give up !

Thanks again

How can I remove all these annoying, moving ads down the right of the screen ? I find it difficult to read a post with all this movement.

I have nothing to gain by telling you that I use an ad blocker which cuts out all these adverts. You can try it free and I expect there may be others, but the one I use is an Austrian one called 'AdMuncher'. Give it a go. Pete.
