3 wheeled car from WWI?

Hi - I've been trying to identify 'Billy' for some time, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this rather strange vehicle and suggest a date I'm guessing probably WWI.

Thanks!

Yumyum - it looks a lot like a Morgan, but I'm no expert.

In the past I have made an inquiry at the National Motor Museum. They have been most helpful.

Hope you find out.

Looks like Billy was a sergeant in the Royal Engineers going by the cap badge. as for date I would suggest that this is, as you have already said, from the first world war period. As there are no collar dogs showing it would be prior to 1924 anyway. I would imagine that this is more a mid war photograph than anything else.

I followed up on your suggestions and I've just had a reply from the National Motor Museum stating that the best match to this photo is a Morgon Runabout - probably the de-lux model dating between 1912 & 1914.

The also gave me an interesting lead that I hadn't thought of before concerning the registration number which was issued in Bath which ties in nicely with what I've found out so far about Billy. I did imagine that this vehicle was army issue but it looks like it was probably his - so I'm now going to follow up and inquire of the owner of the vehicle if the records still exist.
Thanks

Certainly looks to be the one.
Have you see the images on the Morgan Company website?
