death entries in the parish records

Postby chrissy » Sun Jan 13, 2008 9:33 pm

On looking through parish records for one of my ancestors I found an entry stating that he was "unbur" which I presume means unburied. The death was in 1839 and I haven't been able to find an entry of the death on Find My Past or any other free BMD websites. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

The Free BMD records have not all been transcribed as yet. Have you looked on www.ancestry.co.uk ?
The complete indexes are free to search and you should then be able to obtain a certificate. If you have any problems with Ancestry then your local reference library should have all the indexes on microfiche.
Sandgrounder and proud of it.
