WDYTYA May edition - murder in Argentina

Postby phsvm » Sun Apr 24, 2011 11:28 am

I've just read Wendy Ray's account of the murder of her relative in Argentina in 1897.

Wendy states John Bradshaw Wanklyn was her ' great grandfather' but from her family tree he appears to be her great great grandfather. She also states that his daughter Muriel was her 'grandmother'. Again from her family tree it quite clearly shows Muriel was her great grandmother.

Am I missing something here or has the author missed out a generation completely?

Hi there,

Thanks very much for your message! You're right – unfortunately a couple of errors seem to have crept into Wendy Ray's article at the editing stage. I'm really sorry about this. Hopefully it didn't spoil your enjoyment of her amazing story too much...

All the best,

Matt
