Looking for info on Audenshaw Lancs c1800's

Postby mac2204 » Fri Dec 28, 2007 9:26 am

Hi,
I am looking for information re the town of Audenshaw in Lancashire circa 1800's. Some of my ancestors emigrated there from Scotland, and some were born there. From Census data it would seem they worked in the Cotton Mills ( some as Engineers, others as Loom Operators). Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers

They seem to have an active local history society. Have you seen their website and contacted them?
