Back issues

Postby sue gibson » Wed Feb 24, 2010 5:28 pm

Having recently subscribed to the magazine I purchased some back issues in my areas of interest. However there were two from 2008 ( October and November) that were sold out. Is there any chance that these can be re-printed or the topics done again in a future issue?

Send me a PM with your location, (just the town will do to start with). I have spare copies of these two issues and if you live near to me (Hampshire) we could arrange a delivery. Pete.

Why can't people bother to reply to responces to their queries?

Its only been 4 days since the original post was made. Unfortunately some people (myself included) are lucky if they can sit down and turn the computer on once a week. I then view new posts and have several pages to read through. I'd wait a little longer.

Hi Annie 08. I take your point and I have nothing to lose in waiting. Perhaps this site, as`others do, could indicate WHEN people are on line.
I have some spare mags and would love to let others have them, but, last time I did this, the postage was quite a lot, and I never even had a message to say the package had arrived ok.

Still no reply, yet the person has been on site since.

P.S.; Other replies to her posts never had a reply either. !!!!!!

Hello pre1837,
I hope I replied when you sent me a back issue last year. I'm pretty sure I sent an email, but have no idea if it got there or not. If it did not arrive, please accept belated apologies and thanks. If it did arrive, thanks again anyway.

Hi Katherine, No it was not you. I received your message OK.
Perhaps it shouldn't, but it does rile me when one sees where a lot of work has gone into providing much info for people, and they just cannot be bothered to say thanks. Perhaps it's a sign of the times in which we live. I was born in the thirties when we were taught to say a simple thanks for every thing.
Others on other sites have also noticed the modern trend. They too don't like it. Rant over. Have a nice day everyone. Pete.

Back issues - No#1 Oct2007

Postby nadine » Tue Mar 09, 2010 2:09 pm

Hi folks,
Since WDYTYA magazine started I have been trying to find issue No# 1 - October 2007.

I had it pre-ordered it at my local newsagents and they failed to deliver it!! I was gutted

I then subscribed from issue No#2 (and am still subscribing) but obviously have an incomplete set.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has Issue No#1 that they wish to sell or know of where I could find a copy?

many thanks

Nadine

I wish you luck. I did manage to get all the copies and still receive them. I did manage to obtail a collection from a lady who was moving house, although she did not have #1, but I beleive our lovely Editor saw me right, however, I have never been able to get the #1 cover CD. Am still looking. There must be hundreds laying about. Keep looking. PM the Editor; she may still have the odd copy.
Pete. GOOD LUCK.
