Historic Customs

Postby Daniel Cossins » Thu Apr 23, 2009 4:10 pm

Alan is alerted to a rather odd custom in Poland involving the drenching of everyone in sight with buckets of water.

This leads him to point out that although we now celebrate festivities in a decorous manner, our Easter customs were also once occassions for mayhem and madness.

Does your village have any curious customs that hark back to the days when festivities were more raucous than today?
