My father's uncle James Rice Cassidy and his wife Lillian Clare were actors and comedians in the latenineteenth early twentieth century. They travelled all over the UK Ireland and also appeared in plays on Broadway New York. Lillian was involved in the early days of the actor's trade union movement. I am trying to find out more about this, since it was before the formation of Equity I was wondering if there are is any archival info out there?

I have so much info on this couple already that I have given them their own website called J Rice Cassidy & Co Presents... http://homepage.eircom.net/~briby/index.htm

For anyone who is tracing ancestors with a show biz connection "The Stage" now has its archive on line. It's a fantastic resource and certainly helped me to fill a lot of the gaps in my search.
