1891 census

Postby dulcimer_dave » Mon Mar 23, 2009 9:00 pm

In the 1891 census my grandfather and his family were living in Harris Street, Camberwell, London. His father, Thomas Ackworth Parker, was a planemaker, on the return it says his wife Adelia Jane and ther were 6 Children. My Grandfather was the youngest, born in 1887 and the eldest was Thomas Henry, born in 1875 and on the census as a Clerk. By the time of the 1901 census both parents had died and Thomas Henry Parker was on the stage as a comedian/singer/dancer (Happy Tom Parker). After their fathers death the mother moved the family back to Maidstone, where most of the children had been born, only my grandfather had been born in London.
