Issue 2

Postby Hampshire Hog » Tue Oct 23, 2007 10:53 pm

I picked up Issue 2 today. It was the last one in the shop.
I have had a quick look through and since my OH has relatives from Lincolnshire I had a look at this.
I was disappointed to see that one of the headings said Lancashire and not Lincolnshire. Someone didn't proof read like they should have.

Got Issue 1 through the post but no sign of Issue 2. But a letter this morning to say someone had made an administrative error with my direct debit which will now be collected in November. I suppose that means I won't get anything until that is sorted out.
Phoned yesterday to query non-delivery, had to leave a message and someone would return the call within the next day or two - still waiting!
A good magazine being let down by the back-room staff.

Yes, there was a typo on the On The Forum bit. It said my father was born in 1894 at Walshingham! It's actually Walsingham!

It came today. The relief postie delivered it and another magazine I've been waiting for after mid-day.
Lots of reading tonight.

I also had a letter to say that there was a problem with my Direct Debit !

But I did get issue 2 through the post - so I guess I was lucky.

I have to say I subscribed to it online and I have not had any problems at all.
