Can anyone help me? I have few relatives left who are able to identify the people in these pictures so if anyone can date them for me I may have a better chance at putting names to faces! Many thanks!

The photograph of the two girls could well have been taken sometime from 1912 right up to the mid thirties. The trouble with this photograph, and many people that date photograph's will tell you, is that it is very hard at times to give a precise date to photograph's of young children. My first thought on seeing this photograph was that it was taken during or directly after the First World War.

The photograph showing two men, one sitting one standing, is from the first world war and was probably taken prior to 1916 as the soldier still has the wire in his cap which kept the crown firm and there are pleats in his pockets. As for the regiment it would be hard to give a correct answer as the badge is not that clear (perhaps you could repost the cap badge but at a high res' so that more details can be seen). At a push I would suggest that it could be the tiger of the Leicestershire Regiment but like I have said a better image just of the badge might just get you to the correct regiment.

The 1st wedding picture I could not say but the group wedding photograph would appear to have been taken sometime between 1926 and 1936 going by the style of hats worn by the bridesmaids and the small girl on the left.

The historical references in the bride’s dress – the puff at the top of the shoulders and the stand-up collar – both suggest a late 1930s style. ‘Medieval’ influences were popular then, and it looks as though the dress may be made of a heavy satin, again fashionable in that decade. The man’s suit also conforms to this period, although it is hard to see it in detail. Given the shortages during the Second World War, it is possible that is early 1940s, and the bride’s hairstyle could be from mid-1930s-mid-1940s.
