Glasgow Tram History

Postby markgowdy » Wed Nov 12, 2008 2:46 am

Hi

I'm trying to obtain more information about a family member that worked as a tram driver in Glasgow in 1896 (before the electrification of the system) but have been away from Glasgow for many years. Does anyone know if the Glasgow Council would keep records regarding employees? I've sent an email off to them but have had no response.

Thanks

Gowdy

If you contact the staff at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow who hold the vast majority of the archives they may be able to assist , either by confirming its in their records or by pointing you in the right direction

http://www.mitchelllibrary.org/virtualmitchell/index.php?a=contactus

is the contact page from their web site
