UK Divorce records post 1950

Does anyone know if UK divorce records are available to search anywhere? I'd be happy for a date from an index but if the court filing papers are available that would be great. I've not found any mention so far so perhaps these aren't considered suitable for public access?

For England/Wales post 1937 you need to apply to the court service ... but you need to pay for a search.

For Scotland ... some are available on

Although Scotland's People do have some Scottish divorce records (from 1984 and nearly all closed) the majority are at the National Records of Scotland on their catalogue and are more freely searchable than in England.

I found my Nan’s at divorce records at TNA. The divorce was instigated in 1920 and finalised in 1922
