Cornwall Record Office in Truro is the source for the Bodmin Gaol Records on Ancestry.

Have you searched this site before? https://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/
Your chap is mentioned in quite a few records, including one where he's a marriage witness.

The Cornwall Record Office (it now has a new name Kresen Kernow) and is in Redruth.

hi, I expect you've already checked it out, but just in case: CFHS database shows:
record 1038163 in the Burials database
Day Month 03-Jan
Year 1894
Parish Or Reg District Stoke Climsland
Forename William
Surname DINGLE
Age 85
Residence Calstock
Transcriber Di Gibbs

The matching GRO record is William Dingle age 85 Tavistock vol 5B page 355
It's not that far away...
