GRO Birth Record

Postby meekhcs » Thu Feb 20, 2020 1:10 pm

I was checking a birth reference today online at the GRO.
In the Results section at the end of the record after the child’s name, mmn and the GRO reference was written “Occasional Copy: A”
Has anyone come across this before? Does anyone know what it means please?
Thank you

Occasional Copy indicates a correction submitted after the original registration, but not a re-registration.
You would need a copy of the certificate to see what the correction was.
