Confused

Postby tiggerhill00 » Fri Feb 14, 2020 9:04 pm

My great grandfather William Arthur Rouse was born Nov 1882 in Lambeth. Mother is Caroline Hancock, father Alexander.
Caroline married Alexander Dec 1872, fathers name Samuel Nathanael Hancock occupation bootmaker.
Thought I had her birth as Dec 1850 but father says Samuel Aveling Hancock. Occupation shoemaker.
Is this the same person or 2 very similar families?
Very confused!
Thanks for any help anyone can offer

On the marriage entry which is 'on line' the address given for the Bride & Groom is 128 Broadwall. The Hancock family are recorded at this address on both the 1861 & 1871 census, Father is Samuel is recorded as Samuel A, therfore the information related to Nathaniel, is one & the same person!

Samuel & maybe some of his siblings, another with an unusual middle name!
