Can you read the born and baptised dates?

He was born on 29th and baptised on the 30th...but can you read the months?

I thought so...but he was born on the 29th and then baptised the next day...

That was often done if the baby was sickly or weak. I've got one (twins) where one died the next day.

In Scotland baptism within a day or two of birth - or even on the same day - was once(?) typical. Helped by the fact that, if I understand correctly, the minister went to the baby. Though there must have been issues with really big parishes?

Yes I agree,it's August.Next day baptism is not at all unusual.I have many in my tree,
