death Elizabeth Beasley nee Marlow

Postby katebenn » Fri Jan 10, 2020 12:17 pm

I'm trying to find th death record for Elizabeth Beasley (Beazley) nee Marlow b 1785 in Chilvers Coton, Warwickshire. She married Henry Beasley on 16 Dec 1806 in Nuneaton, Warks; Henry died 19 Jan 1841.
Elizabeth is a widow aged 66 living in Hall End, Attleborough in 1851 & in 1861 she is aged 76 widow 'supported by son' living Soho Hill, Handsworth, Birmingham with her married daughter Elizabeth Nixon & her husband Thomas Nixon.
There is a possible death for a Elizabeth Beasley in 1867 Sep Q in Rugby RD but aged 83 (I know ages can be a little out). I'm wondering if could be her?
Any ideas?
Kate

That burial is at Hillmorton, near Rugby, about 40 miles from the 1861 address.

I'd doubt it's her unless you can find a relative or something else to link her to Rugby.

There is one in 1866 at Nuneaton, but she was Widow of Joseph and 31, so you can discount her.

Baptism for what might be an Elizabeth Marlow(?), 30 July 1786, at Chilvers Coton.
Parents Thomas and Elizabeth. Is that right? :|

Here she is in Handsworth in 1861 as said.Yes, Elizabeth's age looks like 76.

If that Rugby death doesn't work out, then another possibility for her might be
BEASLEY, ELIZABETH
Age at Death (in years): 80
GRO Reference: 1865 D Quarter in WOLVERHAMPTON Volume 06B Page 311

A burial at Wednesfield St. Thomas, 23 Nov 1865
Elizabeth Beasley, age 79
Abode Alma Street Wednesfield Heath
(Info from FreeReg)

She seems to be the only Beasley (however you spell it) buried there. It does't seem so very far from where she was in 1861, but my knowledge of the local geography is not good!

Yes, baptism details match as do 1861 details.
Son Henry is in Tipton in 1861 & 1871 which not too far away; also Tipton is half way between Handsworth & Wednesfield Heath.
Seems like best fit at present - many thanks for your help
