If you go to the Card catalogue on Ancestry, search New Zealand, you get a few things that haven't been indexed along with all the rest. Use Keywords... NZEF and you get military documents.

Click on "Chronicles of the NZEF" and you get all the issues of a self printed newspaper. They are mainly 25 pages and the last 10 or so have listings of the casualties, their wounds and where they were.
Use the medical records from his file and cross reference them with the dates of the issues.
Harry is on p118 of the 30 october 1916 issue, he's maybe in later issues but you have to look through the pages.

You might consider he married someone when he was in England before returning to NZ

That's interesting JMcK, there is an H Sellars coming from Auckland with a Mrs B Sellars in 1926.
