Could it say Hitcham? As per John Ennals on the other record?

Just makes me wonder as there are so many variations with the surname, possibly because of the accent, could Hannah be a misheard Susannah?

I thought that but they always call her Susan/Susanna/h on the children’s baptisms.

I’m grabbing straws and hoping something comes to light. I’m not sure Abraham and Elizabeth are related but the variant on the Hadleigh baptisms was sooooo close but they didn’t baptise a Susannah. And, as we’ve seen, the name was recorded differently for each occasion. However, the non-conformism is an interesting thought - the two generations of the Sharps before ie Tim’s parents and grandparents were connected to Wickhambrooke which is another n-c base. I’ll keep looking and really appreciate all your suggestions and help...thanks everyone.

Assuming they are the family we're looking for.

Abraham and Elizabeth married 1752 at Combs where Ab and Jonathon were from.
We don't have a birth date for Susannah do we?
They haven't gone to Bilderstone yet.
The earliest N C baptism is Dinah in 1760, so that leaves a possible 8 years of births elsewhere since the marriage.
There's got to be a son somewhere I'd have thought.
Is Jonathon his brother or father?

I think the next move is try and find Ab and Jonathon at Combs and look for baptisms for Ab and Elizabeth from 1752 to 1760 in parish records. I doubt they would go back from NC as Vicars didn't like people leaving the church and Elizabeths age would be doubtful after 1768 when Jemima was baptised.

If we're on the wrong track, at least it cancels them out.

I took a look at Comb and drew a blank but fresh eyes always welcome.

I keep finding things at Ringshill, about 4 miles away.

There is a Jonathon died 1761 with a daughter Jemima born 1731 and an Abraham 1725.

The England Select Baptisms on Ancestry is full of possibles but with no information! No date, place, source, what a pointless index! I think Abraham and Elizabeth had a son Jonathan so was he named after a grandfather or an uncle? And, excitingly, I found an Abraham in London but in 1680, and declared a Walloon Huguenot... I can hope this is the source!
