Royal Artillery Tracer Cards

It seems to me that the release of these records are almost certainly inconsistent (contravene) with the Data Protection Act, given that The National Archives are applying a 100-year-old closure from the dates of birth in the Prisoner of War cards (WO 416).

What is the sensitive data that is held on these cards?

The fact that the National Archives and the RA museums apply 2 different policies to 2 different collections doesn't seem to be unexpected to me.
