re Hale/Dressler Research

Have hit a brick wall with my ancester Bessie (Elizabeth) Hale b 1875 Gloucestershire England dau of Henry b 1849 & Elizabeth (Vera) Critchley. Bessie is found in the Gloucestershire 1891 census,16 & single, still at home with family. From there on she is a missing person. I have a faded photo of Hale family taken in 1908, before immigrating to New Zealand. This has Bessie & husband Ernest Arthur? Dressler with sons Franz & Fritz. Sons look like toddlers. Cannot find a marr cert of Bessie & Ernest, he was b. Germany. I have spent many hours looking for this couples marriage, in England & Germany & also for the birth of sons to no avail. Seem to be at a dead end, hopefully someone can help me.

In 1881 she is down as Eliza.

Have you any ages for Ernest, Fritz and Franz? Where they went to in NZ?

A similar post on another forum shows what is known already.

Resources specific to the Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire have already been searched pretty extensively.

Lesley, Thank you. Sounds like My 'Bessie'!! She must have had another son, besides Fritz & Franz (wonder what these names are in German language) Ernst must have gone by his middle name, I will certainly delve into this, hopefully some results.
