Tower of London programme

Tonight's programme on Channel 5 concerning document AIR 40/2394 about interrogations of Germans at the Tower in September 1939, to which The National Archives tweeted about, was misleading. The presenter (Tracy Borman) said the document had only been released in 2015 (see the label) but as TNA staff and some researchers know that when the label is crossed-through it means it has been opened earlier than planned originally. But what really annoyed me was that she was wandering amongst the shelves, which ordinary researchers would not be allowed to as there are probably files that are still closed and no mention was made that to find a document you look in TNA's catalogue. Finally she ran her hand across the document, an absolute no-no!. It might look good for tv but it is a long way from actuality. I understand that she, like myself, used to work at TNA.
