Can you read the street address?

Postby pforkes » Fri Jul 19, 2019 3:19 pm

Can you read the street on which John Hall was born?. It looks like Great Lane.

His parents lived on Lunt Lane, but it does nit look like that.

Thanks,

Peter

The 'Lane' on both look identical, but the word before it doesn't.
However, they do both look to me like Lunt Lane. Would seem reasonable if the mother lived there.

According to Google there is an area of Bilston called Lunt, and there used to be a Lunt Lane (there's still a Lunt Road now). No Great Lane to be found.

Does the 1841 census shed any light?

Lunt Lane, can’t really be anything else, as informant was mother, who clearly lives in Lunt Lane.
If mother did’t go home to mum to have her baby, in all probability, she would have had it at her own home! :D
