My True Ancestry

Postby eurogordi » Mon Jun 10, 2019 6:23 pm

Has anyone else used My True Ancestry (http://www.mytrueancestry.com) and, if so, what are your thoughts?

I've uploaded my raw DNA data provided by Ancestry and the free part of My True Ancestry has given me an ancestral map which more or less mirrors the percentages given by Ancestry.

However, My True Ancestry's free service also gives the opportunity to view a list of historic people who share part of my DNA.

At first I was slightly cynical but, having looked at the names, I have found quite a few of my medieval ancestors who I discovered through a "gateway ancestor" several years ago.

So do I pay $25 to access the full service offered by My True Ancestors and find out even more... or is it just coincidence that I have found some of my medieval ancestors on the list?

Any comments will be welcome.
