Scottish valuation rolls

Postby junkers » Thu May 30, 2019 12:13 pm

The rolls highlighted from Wick, Caithness, for 1940 seem to me to ask a number of questions about the uninhabitable properties, were they bombed out or another reason or just left derelict by the owners. Wick is not too far, geographically, from Scapa Flow.

This interesting article from the National Records of Scotland explains it, Wick was bombed in July 1940, you learn something every day.
