Brick Walls, BEAN/EAGER/HORNE

Postby kdeering75 » Sat Feb 23, 2019 7:04 pm

I have searched on and off for many years and there’s one family history, I get completely stuck on.

*Will found

Unknown JONES m. Mary* (?-1750)

Children

Sarah Jones (1708-1770) m. Peter Bean* (1699-1779)

Elizabeth Jones (?-1786) m. John Horne* (?-1766)

Mary Jones* (1702-1771) m. Benjamin Eager (1682-1744)

A lot of this information came from the fact that my husband family descends through John Horne and there was a lot of history as his son John HORNE Tooke had much published information. I learned that John Horne had been a poulterer to the King and lost money when the King died. There was also information regarding his other children. Some spouse well known throughout history.

There used to be a site for Old Brentford Parish/Cemetery as well.

Where the brick wall hits is anything prior to these families (parents, siblings, etc)

I have read the wills to the best to my ability but some information doesn’t help bring on anymore leads, any suggestions?

I have an Ancestry World Subscription.

Thanks
Kelly

Looking for any parentage details of the Sarah Elizabeth and Mary Jones.

I found a record for Sarah for a Mary and Mathias Jones. Haven’t confirmed anything yet.

There is also a Sarah Jones, daughter of William & "MA??" Jones, baptised in Ealing in 1706.
An Elizabeth Jones, daughter of William & Mary Jones, likewise, was baptised in Ealing in 1703.
I also notice Mrs. Mary Jones's will mentions "my cousin, Martha Davies."
Searched for a marriage between William Jones and Mary Davies but without success.

Standard practice.

The three marriages mentioned were all by licence. Have you done anything about obtaining copies of the allegations and bonds?

I have the marriage records from Ancestry but no parents are listed.

John Horne and Elizabeth Jones
01 Oct 1726 • London, Or Northampton St Sepulchre, Northampton, England

Benjamin Eager (Widow, Age 35) and Mary Jones
23 Aug 1726 • St Sepulchre, London, England

Peter Bean and Sarah Jones
15 Apr 1727 • St Mary, Ealing, Middlesex, England

Am I forgetting something or misunderstanding something? I’m not sure how to go about it.
