Andrew Budge

I would really like to trace back further than one ancestor branch. He was called Andrew Budge, born 1680, married to a Margaret Bain, born 1690, but I know nothing else about him. His son was James Budge, born 1709, at Keiss in Caithness in Scotland, who married a Margaret Mann, born 1708. I have been told that Budge is a Scottish name connected somehow to the McDonalds, although I have never heard of it elsewhere and it doesn't sound Scottish. Do you have any information please to help me find out more? Thanks

Thank you. I haven't found any relatives in Edinburgh but there are lots of Scottish ones. I hate football, so I know nothing about it.
