Marriage , Richard Wrenn + Elizabeth , Essex 1812 - 1830

Postby Simon45 » Wed Dec 26, 2018 4:14 pm

Hello All
I’m trying to find the marriage of Richard Wrenn to Elizabeth ( I don’t know her maiden name )

- Wrenn might be spelt Wrenn/ Wren

Richard was born 1793
Elizabeth was born 1797

The marriage would be between 1812 - 1830
And it would have taken place in Essex around Ongar / Stondon Massey / Blackmore areas

Any help much appreciated

Thank you :)

He is shown on 1861 Census age 55 , so it must be after this?

Hi
Yes it will be after 1861

His wife Phoebe died in 1878
I have her death certificate and she was a widow when she died

I have found on FreeBMD the death of one, Israel Munt in the March Quarter of 1857 registered Hitchin, which spanned the boundaries of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. I know this is not where you have the couple and prior to the date you give, but do you know whether there was any reason they might be separated? Could he have lived away for work?

Only a suggestion and you might have already researched this one, but hope it helps to give you an idea. You could always apply for this death certificate, stating all the details you have of him: birth year and name of his wife, or anyone who might have been the informant of his death. Make it clear that if none of your information fits with the deceased then you do not want the certificate. Most registrars are very obliging.
