Ann Corby no baptism

Postby Will Mundy » Wed Nov 21, 2018 11:10 pm

I am researching one of my ancestors Ann Corby who married Thomas Lovegrove in 1793 in Oxford. She had several children there before they moved to Cumnor oddly her name changes for Ann to Sarah. She died in Cumnor in 1819 aged about 54. I can find no trace of her anywhere in the Oxfordshire area that fits. Would anyone be able to shed light on what to do next, also why her name changes from Ann to Sarah?

Have you ruled out the possibility that Ann died, and Thomas remarried to a Sarah?

This site won’t let me post the hyperlink but if you google Cumnor Parish Records, go to families 1450 - 1900 and then go to Lovegrove you may get something to help you.
Good luck
