Please can you help me identify this football team i think this photo dates between 1929 - 1935. The man stood at the back with the badge on his shirt with his arms crossed is my great uncle Frederick Mead born 1912 london.

Taking an uneducated guess could it be Woolwich Arsenal?

I know that people in my tree instigated the formation of Charlton Athletic, Arsenal's neighbouring team.

I think the Woolwich Arsenal always had some sort of cannon on its badge. Can anyone think of any other teams? Of course, they may not be professional, in which case it could be the initials of a company, a pub or an area. I notice he is the only one wearing the badge and the chap in the middle is looking a tad tubby to be a professional footballer even then.

Could the 'A' stand for 'Albion'?
Interested in the surname SNELL circa 1910, Middlesex. and Claudia Vail nee Snell, living and married in Canada from about 1912/16.

There was a Walthamstow Avenue football club, but my OH seems to think the kit was dark blue and light blue hoops.
