WW11 RAF uniform

Can anyone confirm that the uniform cap with the white flash worn by the chap on the right hand side
signifies bomber command/aircrew please. Many thanks in advance.

Not really - so far as I can find from Google, if we are talking during WW2 then the white stripe on the forage cap indicates air crew under training. See http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=722929.0 and especially the last entry.

We featured your query in our December issue and a reader has written in to say: the white flash signifies that he was an officer cadet, not necessarily for flying duties.
