Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec help required.

Postby midshipman » Tue Jun 12, 2018 8:26 am

Whilst researching William Llewellyn Hacon, 1861-1910, I discovered a fascinating article on the Internet.
Basically William was a barrister and arts patron and moved in artistic circles. The article referred to Toulouse-Lautrec visiting his holiday home in Dieppe, France.
A quick search regarding the famous artist revealed he spoke English and was an Anglophile plus he knew Oscar Wilde.
Can any member please suggest a way that I could explore the Hacon/Toulouse-Lautrec connection?

If you haven't seen this article, the author maybe able to assist

Try google.books, there are a number of books that includ Hacon and other artists, ypu maybe able to piece together a timeline

You may have already tried this but the article's author Alison McCall was chair of Women's History Scotland as of November 2017.

The society has a Twitter account:
https://mobile.twitter.com/WomensHistScot so you may be able to contact her through that avenue.
