Some good news, the William Henry Smith who died in 1906 in West Ham (30 Dec 1905 and Leyton actually) is finally the right man. He is described as a pensioner of the Royal Smalls Arms factory. And the informant is J E HART, his nephew.

He died at 26 Violet Road, Leyton.
