Is MyHeritage useful

Postby aitch2o » Sat Jan 06, 2018 5:16 pm

I ask this because I paid about £50 for the lowest level subscription and it seems to me that they just want me to add other peoples trees to my tree. There appears to be no way of searching. I have emailed them.

Have I got the wrong end of the stick? Does anyone like this site?

I recently began using it and I found the same as you. As I was uploading my tree, it did bring up a couple of records however nowhere near as many as what the other subscription sites have done. I felt like you, it was aimed at linking with other users trees. I didn't pay for the monthly service and decided to stop using it. More so because it forces you to have parents of one child as spouse when they aren't or never have been.

Thank you for your reply Superkimothy. I have a second cousin in the USA who says the same thing. I should have asked her opinion before coughing up! Writing off 50 quid stings a bit though. Never mind. Live and learn.
