In your original posting you said:
Death of Walter Edgar, 15 Dec 1869 • 102 Forbes Street, Woolloomooloo They had been married 4 years.
which seemed to be the latest family reference. The reference found by IanBee 1883 in Parramatta moves us forward some years.
Sorry if I've missed something else significant.

A bit of wool gathering now ..... I'm wondering what sort of photography Harry specialised in. It appears that the "Royal Photographic Gallery" was originally Dalton's Royal Photographic Gallery until the mid 1860s, and focussed on portraits (there is an album at the Caroline Simpson Library of the Historic Houses Trust of NSW). So, did Harry take this over at least for a couple of years? And did he continue with portraits in a studio (or studios), or did he become more of an itinerant photographer dealing with less formal topics as well - landscapes etc? Did he advertise and in which papers - surprising we haven't found evidence of this in Trove yet, but if he did then this could have been under a studio name, other than his own surname.

Sorry - it's all a load of waffle, but may help in lateral thinking ....
