Elizabeth Lambert b.1844 in 1861 census...

Postby Cachalot6972 » Sun Sep 17, 2017 9:20 am

Could some kind person do an Ancestry 1861 census lookup for me please?

She is: Elizabeth Susan Lambert 1844 Q1 Peterbro' 15 384. Her parents are Robert Lambert & Mary Ann (nee Freeman).
She is not in the family home in 1861.

I only have a sub to Findmypast which lists just one Elizabeth Lambert, age 19, pob Suffolk, but doing a basic search on Ancestry has found these two:

1861 England Census
NAME: Elizabeth Lambert
BIRTH: 1844 - city, Huntingdonshire, England
RESIDENCE: 1861 - township, city, Huntingdonshire, England

NAME: Elizabeth Lambert
BIRTH: 1846 - city, Huntingdonshire, England
RESIDENCE: 1861 - township, city, Huntingdonshire, England

Elizabeth's census appearances:
1851: age 7, pob Orton Waterville, Hunts.
1871, 27, Servant, Orton, Hunts. Thanks to ianbee for pointing me towards the right Elizabeth.
Elizabeth married John Allpress in 1875.

So if anyone can provide details of the two Elizabeths on Ancestry (or better still, census page images), I shall be eternally grateful!

Thanks...

They are both on Findmypast.
FamilySearch gives the piece/folio/page that may assist. There is also a link to the images on fmp
The 17 year old Elizabeth

The 15 year old, who was from St Neots

And an Elizabeth Lambert, 27, born Orton, in 1871
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VFFM-44Y

Some disagreement about which county it is, registration districts sometimes cross county boundaries.

Thanks for the replies and links folks. The link "And an Elizabeth Lambert, 27, born Orton, in 1871" was her, I had wondered about my original finding because of the place of birth.
Sorry, but all the others weren't her though, wrong parents, my Elizabeth's are Robert & Mary Ann.
Ah well, onwards and upwards...
