James DOWLER - Court Records - Gloucestershire

Postby DawnC86548 » Mon Sep 04, 2017 7:24 pm

HI,
I am looking for suggestions on a direct ancestor, James Dowler.
He lived in Naunton and found information that he was taken to court for adulty.
This would have been in November 1792.
I was wondering where I could find the court records?

Any suggestion would be great.

I think you mean adultery. There is a reference to a case involving James Dowler in 1782 (not 1792) which are held at Gloucestershire Archives in Gloucester, the archive is currently being rebuilt and may not be open to the end of the year.
